Has anyone tried to just keep ball python eggs in a shoe box size Rubbermaid in there room? Not us an incubator? I was going to try to keep room temp at 85 and place the eggs in vermiculite half cover. Any thoughts?

Yeah, you're gonna be hot as hell!
Not sure why you would want to heat a whole room as opposed to just one container -- too expensive and too much room for fluctuation and yeah - you'd get awfully warm. I would think in order to keep the egg box at a reasonable temp you'd need the room much higher than 85*
