What does one have to do with cactus before feeding it to a B.D.?

I'm assuming that you'd want to skin the cactus as well =)
I leave most of the skin on and just remove the pricklies by slicing them off. If you skin it too much the cactus gets mushy. You don't want you beardie biting into a prickly. Could cause a lot of damage to the inside of their mouth and insides. Yikes. My beardies love cactus and it's really good for them - lots of calcium.

Okie dokie... That's what I'll do then.
The cactus pad my wife brought home has most of the needles already stripped off of it. I knew I'd have to remove the rest, but I wasn't sure about how much of the skin should be left.
So, I'll take the veggie peeler to it, and knock off the "high spots".
