Krystal_R Oct 17, 2009 06:42 PM

Hi!
I have been researching rack systems for my boas.

how long would you keep a boa in, say a 32 qt tub rack, approx how long and til what size could they stay in this size tub? Im speaking of BCI for the most part I have some BCO also.
Thank you!

If your feeding once a week you should be able to house a columbian boa in a 32q tub until they're a year and a half to two years old. Smaller males can live in 41q tubs most of their lives.... also known as CB-70 size tubs. I think boas are very easy to house. Keep them in a 32 or 41 q tub and once they've out grown them place them in a 4 foot cage. Their are many companies that make these cages and Jeff Ronne at the boaphile is the master.

ok thank you! I do already have some 4ft Constrictors Northwest HDPE cages which I love only they are quite pricey, so im looking for something to house my boas in til i can upgrade them to the 4 foot cages.

Give Jeff Ronne a call, he is one of the best boa breeders around and knows more about boas than anyone.... his cages are the best IMO.
