Stargazing?

silverecho11 Oct 19, 2009 08:57 PM

Im really hoping this is not stargazing but i cannot tell! Is she simply basking in the heat? or Checking out her enclosure? I just bought her and she has been acting normally so far, eating, drinking water, and moving around a lot. But she has been staring up for a few minutes and last night she actually "fell" on her back. I believe she was going up on top of her hide and i heard a thump. i looked over and she was plopped over on her back, her head was even upside down until i turned on the light a minute or two later. She stayed upside down until i disturbed her. I flipped her back over.
Any advice???

did she right herself easily?

I think she is just looking up at the top where she knows her food comes from and if she fell off her hide it could take a bit of time for her to turn over, especially if she was sleeping at the time, ever fall out bed....

yeah she fixed herself immediately after she realized i was there. She was just laying there like a goof ball for a min or so before i turned on the light but once it came on she was quite alert!!

I looked to see if there was something of interest at the top of her cage but it was just the lid! but she finally moved after maybe three mins and rested her head on the box instead of staring straight up. hmm She is an odd cookie! But i am very glad to know its not gazing . i had never seen a snake do that before!

Thank you for all your help
