my buddy dakota with the acute swollen eye etc...has made a full recovery......
common sense basic nursing skills, care and encouragement with lots of tlc turned the situation around.

still not sure of the cause, my last experience with a vet hastened the death of my female dragon over 1.5 yrs ago, so i was not going down that path again....that ass tortured her with his exam and she died 2 days later....

eye is back to normal...appetite was non existent for 2 weeks but with encouragement and the training ive done with him, teaching him to drink from his water dish, and getting his attention with food (i tap on the floor of the cage where the food is and water dish... did alot of dripping water on his nose for the two weeks he didnt eat to prevent dehydration, and lots of soaks...

love that boy.....thank for the positive advice i received during that period.....xo

Hey,I'm glad to hear it!! You were diligent,used common sense and did a great job.I know that we urge people to see a herp vet when there's a serious problem but it is true that a vet that has no herp knowledge can make things worse and cost you tons of money as well.So good job!!
