This guy is close to 8 ft long & as thick as a beer can.

Here is that big guy breeding a thinner 5 to 6 ft dark female. I found them together on my way back to the car hours after finding him in the morning.

Super post. Love the variety of "on the natch" shots.

This particular shot, while seemingly quite improbable does not look posed...any more story to that?

Oh, there it is.

Nope not posed for the pic. They were just hanging out on the side of the dirt road soaking up some sun. Pretty cool to see to big ones just hanging out so close to each other.

Great pics, beautiful snakes. Nothing beats nature's cooking to begin with, but in the context of their natural habitat they even look better. Just wondering, where were these shots taken? Idaho? Montana?
