My impersonation of a branch.

Wow!,...that really IS a bunch of Blue Beauty!
Those big guys can be a real "hand-full" at times,.......I think you already know this though..LOL!

"a snake in the grass is a GOOD thing"
"handfull" in this case should maybe be replaced with "body full". This guy can be wrapped around your ankle and forearm and still get in a face shot with plenty of room to spare. I must say he is getting better with time, his strikes nowadays mostly being bluffs.
How the heck long to these blue guys get anyway?! Thing looks like a Scrub Python!

Males can easily reach 9' . This guy may be nearing 10'. I'm gonna try and measure him soon. That should be fun. A few years back a guy advertised a 12' male on kingsnake classifieds. There was no picture so who knows.
When you see this end coming get ready to bob and weave.

that is one sexy snake. I decided against beauty snakes cause I have my fill of larger animals...but goodness they're pretty!
I have a Blue that is over 9' and looks to be the twin to yours.
He just shed and though the sheds do stretch it measures almost 11'! My blue has settled down alot but he is so big that he can reach out from me to just about anything in the room. In the basement reptile room I have, he's up and intertwined in the rafters the momment I look away. Unstairs he once lifted off my shoulder to wrap around a ceiling fan (it was turned off)and its always a job to remove him from that stuff.
Always a hand full.
Mike.
If your not paying attention they're entwined around something in a flash.
A pictures worth a thousand words...who's got who there?
)) Wonderful animal right there!
Thanks, a favorite of mine. I suspect he is still growing at a decent pace as he still sheds every 4- 6 weeks. I'd like to get an updated length measurment but am having trouble finding volunteers to help me. Cowards.

I'm running into the same damn problem...no one wants to bleed
Thanks...but I think I'll stick with little pin pricks vs. stiches.
