feeding question

i have a burm that was fed chickens but i am now trying to get her onto rabbits. any suggestions or ideas. i have tried to get her to eat but she has only taken one rat and nothing else. i dont have a source for whole chickens. thanks for the input.

If she'll eat rats prime her with one rat and just as she's finishing swallowing it, while her mouth is still open, stick the nose of the rabbit in her mouth & keep it there. Some will first try to back away from it while others will go ahead and begin to swallow it.

You may have to use that procedure several times before she begins to take a rabbit without having to feed her a rat first. I also suggest using small - medium rabbits instead of large ones so their size isn't intimidating. She'll eventually get used to their scent and take them on her own free will.
