Wow tib.. You have some fine looking animals..
I like that pic of the snakes breeding, but I see 3 animals.. Do you have 1 male and 2 females in that bunch or is it 2 males on one female.. Is that your common practice, 3 animals and see which ones go?

Sorry just getting in from work..Dave the second picture shows the male buried in the middle..and its 1.3..can you guess what?

Pithons Oct 22, 2009 05:15 PM

Yikes, here goes..
Hypo mot, hypo jungle and a Sunglow???

Just wondering why you do 3 females to 1 male ratio.. Do you leave them all in there hoping the males makes his rounds.. Have you ever tryed 2 males to one female?? I have some pairings to go soon, but not getting much movement from them thus far..

Both females are provin..(sunglow & D/H) and a bloody salomon...trying to make motleys even better.
The reason I colony breed is I've been short on males only have 3@ breeding age..( albino motley ,jungle male not het and a male anery log)but last sesons breedings put me ahead..so alls good. The thing with colony breeding is Who am I to say who's ready(I did my job to raise them to the point) this way it works when time comes...not all animals will become breeders..let say that also..some just don't.

i just looked myself lol no denying it is the same snake with a pattern like that.

BNixon Oct 22, 2009 02:48 PM

I think it is probably a Jungle Motley because of the brighter overall look as well as the faded look of the saddles...very crisp looking animal.

I don't know the answer, but do all Central American Motleys have a crispness to their patterns like that? I thought I saw plenty of them with more typical looking fuzzy patterns although normally none of them as strongly connected as most Colombian Motleys look.

What makes this one and some of the other have that crispness to their patterns? Does anyone have any ideas?
