are ball phytons nocturnal?

and if so whats the best time to feed them?

mine comes out only at night. he fed only one and it was in the morning. i have a 12hr light cycle and the vivarium is covered with a black curtain to maintain the cycle.

Yes... Ball Pythons are a nocturnal snake. Since they are naturally shy and defensive, they use the cover of night to hunt. I always wait until after my BP has come out of his hide for the night (around 7pm) to feed him.

As for light, I use a 60w "Moonlight" bulb. It gives off heat for his hot side of the tank, and in pitch black it gives off dim moonlight so you can view them being truly nocturnal.
