Here is the crazy baby with her sister:

They are both Key West Boas and both girls. The washed out one was a preemie baby that so far has made it. She barely had any pattern when she was born and I didn't think she was even alive. In fact if you watched the videos, there appears to be one patternless baby in the mess of babies. That was her.

This is a perfect example of a preemie baby that an inexperienced breeder may misidentify as a Ghost. Color and pattern come in toward the end of the gestation period. This one has the pattern but the color was not fully in. It actually mostly will not come in now. But, usually that don't survive. This one may not survive either, but she sure is a cute little Boa so far. She shed about a week after all the other babies and was offered her first meal yesterday at 20 days of age. She did not take it. The appearance of this baby is not genetic. It is environmental. The Key West mutation is genetic, but not this strange color.
