Looks like I'm finally done for 2009....

rainbowsrus Oct 25, 2009 03:47 AM

My last litter of 2009 finally dropped this morning.

Minnie x Dumbo, het Hypo x Hypo, she delivered a nice little litter of 11 babies this morning at POS + 125 days. My second longest gestation this year, she sure did keep me waiting!!!

In the hide box...

In the group cleanup sweater box, you can see some hypo's in there...

These two were lying there side by side, hypo and het, you can see how subtle the differences are between them prior to first shed...

Dave,
Congrats on a great year! What are your final numbers?
Nice work,
Paul

My best year ever....

On my BCI projects I produced 101 babies of various morphs including Moonglows, Snows, a Sunglow, Motleys, Ghosts, Anerys, Albinos and a slew of hets and possible hets.

On my BRB projects I produced 180 babies from 13 litters. Including some more Fluffy offspring, some Hypo and het hypo babies and several litters of intense babies from multi-generation holdback animals.

2009 was a year of several smaller litters, not sure why. The average numbers of babies over 13 litters was 13.85 babies. Last year I had 10 litters and only a few fewer total babies with an average of 17.3 / litter.

This years numbers, 13.85/13 are not totally out of a typical range for me. Actually had a couple of years with lower averages, 12.0/3 and 13.83/6 vs my "best" year at 22.67/6

Excellent question btw...

Not sure if that's luck or was statistically large enough but your 16.4 is pretty damn close to my average of 16.47 over 49 litters. That does NOT include washout litters where there were no viable babies.
