I took the Ghost het Albino x Motley het Anery poss het Albino courting as a sign to toss everyone else together so I did and out of the 9 current pairs together I have had these two other pairs already courting...

Het Vpi x Hypo

Albino Jungle x Ghost

Lets hope the rest catch on!

Wow, thats great news Brandon... Question on the other 7pairs.. How long do you leave them in? If they are not doing anything, when do you take them out? At that point, what is your next approach..? Thoughts, opinions.

Good Question...if certain males arent doing there job I might switch out a more active male...the ones I really want ie ghost het albino x motley het anery poss het albino...Albino Jungle x Ghost....Sharp x Leopard I will keep together...the rest I might switch around for instance if my het BW caramel male isnt doing the job I might toss the sharp on her...I have two adult het Leopards pairs breediso if either one isnt doing the job I can swap the males...

Right, but how long do you keep them together without any action. 1 week? 2 weeks?? What is the next approach. As this early in the season, would you take him out for a couple of weeks and re introduce them? Do you lower temps? raise them?

BNixon Oct 26, 2009 09:54 AM

Currently the ones who aren't courting are at least cuddling. if they don't start showing action after 2 weeks separate them for a week and re introduce.

Also if certain males aren't working I might try a different one later on. Now if there doing well and lots of action I will take them out once a month and give them a small meal.
