I am hoping to find and purchase a yellow or red ackie in 1-2 months so I figured I would introduce myself while I continue to research. I am in the first stages of building the enclosure and want everything complete before I bring the monitor home. I keep a large variety of chuckwallas and some desert iguanas but this will be my first monitor so I have a lot to learn. I have enjoyed reading the posts on your forum and would appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks!

Here is a link to the lizard king video, you can watch the whole thing online, this is the same one recently shown on NOVA with Dr. Eric Pianka. It was neat to see some kims in their natural envirment. Good in depth schooling on understanding these creatures and shows just how smart they are. Just copy and paste the link.
