guyergenetics Oct 28, 2009 12:11 PM

I recently aquired these snakes from Jimmy Johnson of Draybar's Herps. The deal went smooth, the snakes look great, and I am happy the aquisition.

'09 female Albino Emoryi

2 '09 male Emoryi 66% het Albino

'08 male Stripe Creamscicle

'09 female Stripe Creamscicle

I can't wait to grow them up and start working with them.

Nice coloration on the albino Emory's. Much more of a reddish tone than most. Good score!

I agree Jimmy. I'll do business with you anytime!

That little Lavender Mot is looking good!

I'll have to get some better photos taken of the ones I got from you. I didn't want to mess with them too much seeing as how they just arrived so I just snapped some really quick shots while I was setting them up. I'll have to get some photos that do these awesome animals better justice.

Great stuff!

You will certainly prove the 66% chance het out either way, and worse scenario you will have definite hets,....so either way you do well and know for certain what the deal is. I think this part of the game is just as interesting in many ways.

Good luck with those nice future projects!

Thanks man. Yeah, I'm looking forward to working with these. I don't mind working with hets or possible hets at all because you just don't ever know for sure what's going to come out of the eggs and I love surprises!

Boy do I hear ya THERE!..LOL!

I had some very unexpected pleasant surprises this year myself, and I couldn't be happier.

Among a couple other cool odities, I produces a "one-of-a-kind" anomaly brooks king this year that is the ONLY one like it known to exist. I cannot wait to see if this proves out to be hereditary in the future!

A few odd corns were produced this year too, so that is very interesting as well.

As you already know, insanely cool stuff can happen when you least expect it from anyone at anytime..LOL!

Hell Yeah...Isn't that what we're all after? To produce something different?

That's awesome news about that Brooksi. I'd love to hear more about it...maybe you could contact me in private to hep keep this thread from staying to far off topic, but damn, it's exciting anytime something new crops up.

I'm going to be trying to start something pretty cool starting next season. Mexican Night Snakes...I have a pair of normals and just ordered an Anery. They are like long skinny desert dwelling Corns with wicked cool eyes that are super docile and super easy to care for and great feeders. Hardly anyone has them and the only known morph is Anery. There HAS to be more than that hidden somewhere in the species. Anyway, I'm getting a good colony together and I'll be trying like crazy to find something different in the hatchlings that proves out...or at least I'll be trying to make them more popular and maybe try to increase the market and the demand for them.

Anyway...guess I strayed a bit off topic.

So..nothing beats Corns. They are and will always be my favorite and my top breeding projects!
