Sterlite # 1756

Bluerosy Oct 28, 2009 12:55 PM

Anyone have nay of these or know where to get them?

i know that target discontued them but i have some new racks for the Sterlite 1756 and need to find them.

I also heard that the Sterlite # 1755 replaced them but i don't see how the upper lip of the 1755 can slide into the manufacturers racks i got.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure the newer Sterilites fit if you remove the clasps. There is an extra gap where the clasps were from what I understand but it's only a problem for some of the smaller species and or small "live bearers". Even then these gaps can be filled.

I have not had to deal with this myself so double check. I'm going on memory here.

I looked at those and I don't think they can slide into the top mounted grooves of this rack. At least that what is sure looks like to me.

pretty close tolerances here:

Isn't it amazing how all of these plastics manufacturers keep changing their products and they get progressivly more worthless for adaptation as caging? Do you think they are doing it on purpose?

I went into the EVILTHATISWALMART yesterday figuring to get a few more cat litter pans for a rodent rack I inherited. Now they have made these pans for umpteen years now and every time Im in a store I go by and nod approvingly that they are still making these nice mouse rack bins. Well, you guessed it! No more nice pans and the replacments have a huge arched back so your puddytat wont kick litter out of the pan...Assuming he realises hes only supposed to bury front to back. Anyway they are totally useless as mouse pans and Im left with the few I already have. GAH! Another rack to sit behind the garage!

Which is why many Herp cage companies have stolen the design and now make their own in many tub cases.

There are excellent tubs at both reptile tubs .com and ars cages .com for rodents.
