just keeps getting bigger!!

DMong Oct 29, 2009 05:28 PM

Every time I turn around, this little 2007 male is getting bigger!

I really like this guy's robustness and beautiful coloration. I just weighed him again after a poop, and he weighed 1140 grams.

Not bad for a young two year old!

enjoy, ~Doug

Wow. That guy is big. Not missing any meals I see!! He is a pretty boy too.

DMong Oct 29, 2009 06:40 PM

Thanks Joe!,...yeah, I am really impressed with this guy too!.

Yeah, he is super healthy, but he doesn't have skin showing in between each scale either from being over-fed, he is just BIG!

He's sort of similar to Andre the Giant,....not real fat, just HUGE!..LOL!

Doug, you failed to mention you were stuffing mice with "Extenz" pills!! Those have to be some of the funniest commercials ever by the way.

DMong Oct 29, 2009 08:05 PM

LOL!!,..yeah!,...they are funny. Could you just imagine some of the commercials and shows that are aired now being seen by our grandmother's and great grandmother's?....they would flip their lids at just the thought of such stuff..LOL!

Give up the $5 J-Dawg, it's tough to stump the "Mongster" on sit-com trivia. That is Freddy "boom-boom" Washington!..LOL!

Doug, who is that with you in the pic?

DMong Oct 31, 2009 11:05 AM

Just some little 250 pound man I was about to clobber!..LOL!

.....yeah, RIGHT!...hahaha!!, I would hate to be that big, and it's too bad he died a while back. I saw a biography about him on TV, and he was a VERY nice guy who had lots of friends.

He was called a "gentle giant" by many people.

i forgot to say this earlier: could we make it a forum rule to never, ever use the subject line, "just keeps getting bigger"?

DMong Oct 31, 2009 04:21 PM

I Should have said...my "BROOKS" just keeps getting bigger..HAHAHA!

Well, maybe not THAT either,.....you know how people apply silly pet names sometimes..LOL!

Now! that's a nice looking snake. How offen, and how much does he eat?
Thanks for sharing. Bob

DMong Oct 29, 2009 10:37 PM

Thanks a bunch Bob!,.....

When he was real young, I fed him very often, two or three pink/fuzzies every two to three days, depending on the prey size. then as he got a bit larger, I fed him two appropriately sized mice about every 4 to five days. Now he is fed two giant retired breeder mice about every 5 to 7 days on average, and that seems to be doing real well.

Since he is a male and doesn't need lots of extra weight for egg production like the females do, I don't want him to start getting stretched skin between each scale like some, I just like him big and robust without the overweight look. All my animals get fed on an individual basis depending on their individual needs as I see fit, and this works out very well.

Thanks again for the compliment!

Thanks John!,......

I'll pair him up with the same nice female he knocked boots with this year. They produced some KILLER high-red hatchlings that were absolutely phenomenal!
