Isure hope not! All of my D.auratus twitch their toe while hunting.. BTW,Whats MBD? Seriously..I'm quite new to PDFs
Don't know what MBD is but my tincs all have twitchy syndrome of the longest toe. They get plenty of the best vitamins so I'm sure it isn't the beginning of calcium deficiency. Just seems normal to me.

The D. galactonotus do this too when they are stalking and hunting flies. The long toe on one hind foot does a kind of drumming. I think they are just excited. However, I've also imaginined it might be a way of disturbing the "game" so it moves, or even a kind of communication, as it seems to attract the other frogs to the area-- just not sure. If you are dusting with vitamins and calcium and your frog looks otherwise healthy, you probably don't have a deficiency syndrome.
