Boa Fedding Issue

snakeworld79 Oct 29, 2009 11:47 PM

Not new to boas but I've never had this problem.

This is my 1st year breeding boas. I have a nice 06 female that has been eating like a champ. Not agressive though. She has not taken a meal F/T or live since Late September. The male has been breeding w/ her over a month. He is feeding great. There is no RI and no other symptoms. She is alert and active when handled. I not looking for a diagnosis but is there any suggestions on what to look for? Do females just go off feed sometimes?

Thank you

Some boas, both male and females, will go off feed during breeding season.

Normally, females will go back to feeding after they have their POS.

Then you have a few that won't go back to feeding until after their babies are born.
