Boa burrowing?

zorpasg Oct 30, 2009 06:10 PM

Hi,
has anybody seen their BCI burrow in their substrate? I have a Dumeril's boa, a species I know likes to burrow in order to stalk prey, but I never saw or even read anywhere that BCIs do that.

Here's a couple of pics of my BCI doing that tonight:

Could he be just enjoying his new environment which he moved into a couple of days ago? He looks kind of funny with his head poking out like that.

I have a couple of them that burrow. My ghost used to completely bury herself...a little scary on feeding day when I couldn't tell where she was.

My albino does it too.

Along with a few others...

Amie
