Never seen a mojave like this one....

djslurp1200 Nov 03, 2009 11:51 AM

We picked up this mojave male from Jon (NextWorldExotics) back last year at the Tampa show... we definitely wanted a mojave but wanted to be very selective on the one we decided to add to the collection since Mojaves were and now are more abundant than ever... As we were walking past Jon's table we saw this boy and couldn't resist to buy him right there on the spot at first sight of him!

You can see as a baby he had a good amount of white on his sides...

As he got older though his brown in his pattern has turned more of a silverish axanthic like color and his white has only become more pronounced...

Here he is a few months after we got him and after a few sheds...

and here is how he looks now... at about 600g's and losing more yellow coloration and gaining more of an "Axanthic like" look everyday...

I dunno... I've never seen a mojave like this myself and was wondering if anybody might have something similiar. I know it was produced from a mojave x CH Axanthic looking girl and last time I talked with Jon he had said he was planning on pairing her up with some other stuff...

Looking forward to pairing this boy up with some girls this season and seeing what happens.

Thanks for looking!

Any Ideas?

Good luck with him.

I like mojave who have a dark black pigmentation, a bit like yours.

I love the high contrast on him. It would be interesting to see him bred to another high contrast morph, like a Lemon Pastel (I am a huge fan of Pastaves). Or maybe choose a really sweet Pinstripe female have him produce some hot looking Jigsaws!!

Your Mojave is very nice.

Here are several photos showing some examples of what I call my gold blush line of mojaves.

The first group of photos were taken in my snake room without a flash. The second group of photos were taken with a flash. I think you'll see some of the markings are similar to what your talking about. These guys were produced from three different mothers, but all had the same father. The mothers were all very nice looking normals.

Thanks... It will be interesting to see what is going on with him as we plug him into other morphs...

Jon had one other mojave that he produced out of the same clutch as our boy... other than that all his other mojaves were differen't from ours and the girl he had... So it leads me to believe the mother might just be something...

only time will tell... But he's producing plugs and is ready for our girls this year! Hoping to make some pastaves and more with him this upcoming season!!

Thanks Brian!

I remember stopping by your table and commenting you on your mojaves in Daytona! They are very nice! Do you have any ADULT pics of your gold blush mojaves?

I'll keep everyone updated as this one continuously gets bigger and older! I'll get some nice outside pics of him in the sun as well...

Thanks for the kind words...
