Does anyone use anything like reptile eye drops for the snake's eyes to keep them moist?

Oh yes, you would never use eye drops on your eyes would you!

They usually don't *need* it while they are just cruising around their cage. But if I am going to take some pictures and I want their eyes to be bright and pretty, I add a drop of mineral oil on each. It helps hydrate the eyes so they aren't wrinkled and nice and shiny.

The application of mineral oil does not hydrate the eye at all. Mineral oil will act as a barrier preventing the eye and skin from absorbing oxegen and eliminating toxins. The disruption of allowing oxegen to the skin will soon result in a dry, flaking epidermis.
Snakes do not require any product application, even before photographing. If you want the snakes eyes to look plump, insure it is properly hydrated.
