i was out browsing around and i found this site thats pretty cool. its basically a genetics calculator... you put in up to 6 traits and specify dominate, co-dom, or recessive for each. then there are two columns male, female and you check off boxes to specify homozygous, het, or WT (without trait, wild type)
its pretty cool a little tricky to get at first (well at least for me) but once you get the hang of it it actually quite easy
the one i tried was a db het ghost x anery (bci)
so the first screen i put in for 2 traits
then i labeled them "hypo" "anery"
on the hypo trait i checked the co dominate box (again bci)
and for the anrey i left it blank to indicate recessive
the male is a db het so i checked off the het box for both
the female is anery so i checked the homozygous box for anery and the WT box for hypo
ask the wizard and he will tell you
"Het. Anery, Het. Hypo c,
x
Homozygous Anery,
25% Het. Anery,
25% Het. Anery, Het. Hypo c,
25% Homozygous Anery,
25% Homozygous Anery, Het. Hypo c,
c trait you marked as Codominant (homozygous
and heterozygous forms do not look alike)"
not too bad at all thats kinda a useful thing there... shoot it will do up to 6 traits!
