A 2010 pairing.

zenzinia Nov 05, 2009 02:28 PM

It's my third 09/10 more antipated pairing. They are 2004 littermate, in 2008 they have both proved to pass there striped squared tail in a dominant way with unrelated wild type colomnian's. Last year the female never ovulated, I hope this year it will worked out and that I will get the super form !
For the moment,I call them X tail since 'square tail' is refering to the recessive blood line.

Good luck I hope you get conclusive results this season
It'll be fun to watch how this trait proves out.
I really like these boas you are working with !

Very nice but what makes them different than the relatively common circle back laddertails that have been proven dominant/co-dominant. I produced a nice litter fromone this year and ended up with around 7 from a litter of 13 with strong laddertails.

I would be very interrested to see all the relatively common "square tail" that have been proved to be dominant. From what I know, the only more than probable co-dom is the "roswell", but still to be confirmed.
Ladder tail is something different very common in many localities, the square tail pattern is a striped tail with squared inside it.
Squared tail are mainly founded in bcc and I think that on this forum "kitchi" has a very nice bloodline that proved to be dominant.
I would be very pleased to see some of the 7 of 13 you have produced this year
I may be allready know how the super X tail look like lol
Here are some pics I have allready shown, from 2 different 08 litters.
