a breeding story With pics

TimS Nov 06, 2009 12:47 AM

Ok not really a story but I thougth it would be fun to post a picture progress of my first ever breeding of boas adventure.

well on 9/1/09 i lowered temps by 5 degrees just to make it "winter" for the boas lol, within a few min they were courting like crazy and the whole month was filled with courting and a few poss copulations. temps went back to norm on 10/1/09

even in wrong areas lol

then on 9/28/09 she started to fill out a lil bit and get a full look to her instead of her normal square self, she stayed like this for about 3 weeks

come 10/26/09 she started what i think was a one side ovulation

on 10/27 early peaked in there has been no courting or anything all day and this is what female looked like, if you look close you can see some swelling

that night the male was on her like white on right with deff copulation

The next day no action and so on. The male wanted nothing to do with her and has been cruising cage non stop tho he is still in with her for now just to make sure they decide to change minds lol.

come 11/2/09 i peak in the cage and find this lovely sight, tho it was much larger in person and looks like she may have had a football for dinner lol.

I have not peaked in since (she has a hide box she loves butt he male is always out cruising around or sleeping on the side of the box and has no interest in her what so ever.

I guess all thats left now is wait for a shed and then wait for babies

Curious what is everyone's days from post ov shed to babies? also at what temps?

Also the albino het anery x anery het albino whom have only been casually courting every so often decided that they wanted to have a little fun the other night

Thanks for reading and looking, any and all comments and ifo is appreciated cross your fingers for me please

I wish all this would of happened a tad sooner so i would have better chance of babies being born on my birthday that would be just awesome first ever boa litter on your birthday talk about truely amazing. but i will be happy with whenever as long as they are all happy and healthy

Thanks, In previous post i even stated i thought but wasnt sure about ovulation. I am so use to pythons where its one swell and done. This whole mulitple slight swelling then big swell then a BAM swell is all new to me. That is one reason i thought this thread might be interesting specialy to the newbs like me to see kinda the process and how things go.
