BPs have a tendency to pudge, so you shouldn't feed them TOO much. Also, feeding a young BP will cause it to grow quickly. While this produces a nice large snake in a short time, the health detriments to quick growth can shorten its life.

That said, an eager feeder is a joy to have, while it lasts. Just wait a couple of months, and your vacuum cleaner will drive you crazy while he refuses food for a month or more. It's Breeding Season, and sexually mature BPs go off feed, usually starting October-Novemberish, and fast until January-Februaryish. The number of "HELLLLP! My BP Won't Eat!!!!" posts in the fall/winter increases dramatically on this forum, much to the amusement of those of us who were doing that kind of posting when WE were new.
