Ok I have seen ppl post pics of what look like really big ovs
but I would like to see if ppl have pics of smaller ov. Last year had a female that I never caught the ov and she didnt have a pos. This year been watching her like a hawk notice a very small slight swell i marked it down as poss ov but she still looks pretty much like normal. The male has been trying to escape since about 2 weeks after we put them together and when i noted the swell he was still trying to find a way out. They cant be done after just a couple weeks can they? How long does ov usually last? Thanks in advance for any help.Ill get pics up
soon

Here's a pic of a smaller ovulation from my Motley het Sharp X het Sharp female last year. I had actually marked it as pre-ov swell but it ended up being the ovulation. They can get the job done overnite if the timing is perfect so they can certainly get er done in two weeks. GOODLUCK with her!

Here is an ovulation from a 6-6.5' female last year, she had 18 babies and 2 slugs. Since I started breeding boas in 2003, this was the first ovulation I had ever seen. I took the pics then went back in about 40 min. later and she looked back to 'normal', so if I hadn't happened to walk in right at those few min. I would have missed it again. There was some pretty obvious scale seperation and at each end of the bulge, you can kind of see how she is tensed up. I saw her pre-ov swell as well and I would say the actual ovulation was about twice the size.

Sometimes the female is ready to go and the male gets the job done in a very short time (even a few days I had heard) but typically it seems to run about 2 months from introduction of the male to the POS.

They can drive you crazy with second-guessing is this the swell, I think I see something now... just be patient and keep those fingers crossed. Good luck!
