Quick size question

Rconnelly Nov 08, 2009 11:27 PM

So I have a new Rainbow Boa. I know what they will grow to be but I haven't the slightest on at what speed. I know it will depend on the feeding and what not, but I am trying to use the same info to determine how old it is. I bought it from a local breeder/shop owner that got it on trade in. he is only 100g so Ik he isnt that old but I like to keep fairly good records on hand for incase that information is need. I know that it has helped me with my 8 ball pythons in the past. Thanks guys.

Baby BRB's are typically born at 30ish grams and while it's not uncommon to have an early year baby reach 100 grams by now, being a pet store and got in trade etc. IMO it's likely a 2008 baby.

Without knowing more, it's impossible to peg a date on it, a slow fed 2 year old can easily be the same size as more normal fed 1 year old.
