Absolutely!,...they, and every other veteran before them made this great country free. Without people like these past veterans, this country would just be another third-world Iraq.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!, and hat's off to all those who have served in the past.

I've never served; the military is funny about people with schizophrenia joining...but I'm thankful for what I do have, and veterans certainly help keep our country safe so I can continue to enjoy it.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Hey Mark,

Thanks for this post! We do have a lot of vets as well as active duty as part of our community. Like a few others, I have not served, however I am a proud daughter of a Vietnam vet. So keep our members who are in the middle east in your thoughts as well. We have a great many active duty members here still who are away from home. And thanks again.

Yes, among many others, Mr. Carsten "Zee" Zoldy(BlueKing) comes to mind, I think he is still overseas as we speak.

God bless him and all the other service men and women there, and bring them all home safely.

To all Veterans and those who are fighting for our freedom:

How I hold you higher than all others. You are the reason we have our freedom and the reason our country is the land of the free. You are the reason we have the ability to enjoy our life without tyranny destroying our freedom of thought and actions.

I am not able to put into words the gratitude I feel, and the complete adoration I have for you.

To those who have fought or served in WW 2, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq, etc., I bow my knee to you and salute you.

Thank you from my upmost being. You are my hero.

I was in the Navy during 'Nam, but was fortunate not to actually go there. I watched many of my friends leave our base in Germany to go to "WestPac"....never to return.

I agree Mark. We owe them more than anything. Without them we would not be able to enjoy the things we want, like this hobby and we probably would not be typing in English....

As the old saying goes...."Thank a teacher for being able to read this and thank a Soldier that it is in English....."

So...I salute all those who fight our battles and defend our liberty and freedom!
