Please remember the veterans

DMong Nov 11, 2009 12:41 PM

Today we all should remember all the men and women who have proudly served, and even given the ultimate sacrifice to protect and keep this great country of ours free. Without those brave people, we would be nothing more than a dictated "third-world" country.

Among many others, Mr. Carsten "Zee" Zoldy(BlueKing)who has those nice "Golden Corns" and many other types of snakes is over there serving right now as we speak.

God bless America, and a big hat's-off to him and all those who have served this great country in present and past. May they all come home safely.

We cannot afford to not remember what these heroes have done for us.

....here's hoping we remember them the other 364 days as well. One day a year is not enough for those that made the ultimate sacrifice.

Ya know, that is an extremely good point you mentioned, and I could not agree more.

Yes, every single one of those 365 days a year that we are able to enjoy our freedom, is all due to their brave and noble service.

May these people NEVER, EVER be forgotten.

Thank you for your words, Doug. As I type this, my husband is en route to a base in Afghanistan. Although not always in vogue, "Support Our Troops" should be a given in the heart of everyone who reads this thread. My father, my husband, and my son--all have or do serve proudly.

Blessings to all!

You are so right about that,...if it weren't for those very honorable and dedicated folks, we certainly wouldn't even be able to enjoy something as simple as this snake forum either, because snakes would be the very LEAST of our worries if we were not free, that is certain.

Maybe trying to avoid being stoned to death, or tortured would take center stage instead of us being able to correspond about the snake hobby. This is something people should seriously think about once in a while.

I hope your family along with all the other courageous people come back safely soon.

best regards, ~Doug
