Hypo/Extreme, High Contast Oranges

Dan_W Nov 11, 2009 02:47 PM

Doug Mong recently posted a photo of his favorite hondo, and I was blown away by how clean the animal was, how perfect (i.e., complete) its bands were, and how highly contrasting the two different shades of orange were. Up until now, I've mostly kept albino Nelsoni, but now I think I'm going to get one of these guys...

I'd really appreciate it if some of you would post photos of similar animals, so I can use these photos as an ideal to find here in Europe (I live in Italy). At the very least, I could contact some of the breeders in Europe, and have a snake waiting for me at Hamm in March, or a large show in Italy (Perugia). If not, perhaps some of you actually send shipments to Italy or to Europe.

Thanks!

Dan

Hey Dan,

I agree, Doug's animal is certainly oustanding. Here are some I am working with. the male is an extreme and the female just a very nice hypo with extreme blood. I've also included pics of what they produced this year.

Thanks, Dave; your hypos are drop dead gorgeous too! If that orange stays bright, the hypos have everything going for them.

In your experience, what is the average adult size at say, 3 years of age?

Thanks again for the photos...!

Dave, that first hypo extreme is fantastic looking.

I don't keep the extremes, but here are few tangerine hypos I do have.

And here is a tri-color hypo. Are there hypo /extreme tri-colors now?

I don't necessarily have my heart set on an extreme; I've seen some "plain hypos" which look fantastic. It all depends on the animal... I do like those two tangerines a lot, Terry!

Thank You!

Dan
