albigs/ionides is it just me?

I've noticed something looking at pictures of baby/young whitethroats and blackthroats. I know they are supposed to technically be the same species, but there seems to be a difference in the babies. The blackthroats always look pretty robust and healthy, whereas the whitethroats seems a bit on the skinny side. Is it just my imagination or is there a reason for this?

probably just seeing captive bred vs. farm hatched.
