bakeaway Nov 14, 2009 01:43 PM

Get up this morning my Ranco on my tanks is reading 68 degrees,,i have it set for 82. The light on the power strip that it came attached with is not coming on. I tried raisint the temp and I can hear the clicking noise when it cuts on and off. But no heat. Any ideas?
I will hook my cages to my rack T-stat until fixed or a new one.
Thanks

There are lots of ways it could have failed; the power strip, the heat tape/cord, loose wire inside ect. If you know how to wire one I would get another power strip and rewire it from the ground up.

The lights on my power stips never lasted long after I wired them to Rancos
