This snake was found in a grocery store parking lot. It has sustained an injury to its back. It seems to be behaving normally. I'm about to attempt feeding it a thawed pinky.
Any suggestions for the injury?

This snake was found in a grocery store parking lot. It has sustained an injury to its back. It seems to be behaving normally. I'm about to attempt feeding it a thawed pinky.
Any suggestions for the injury?

Wow, that cal king looks alot like those sold as designer kings, not what you would expect from the wild 
If it is behaving normally, it should be fine. It may be an older scar of a past injury. Try feeding it an appropiate sized mouse.

Sorry I wasn't more specific but this kingsnake was an escapee. I'm in northeast Indiana, and these obviously are not indigenous to the area. He has eaten a pinkie and passed it beyond the injured area but I'm unsure how serious it is. I'll keep and enjoy him regardless.
