Morphs have hit rock bottom when........

jeff favelle Nov 16, 2009 12:08 AM

Hobbits wear them as wristwatches. At first I just thought the snake's snake was "Mojave".....until I looked a little closer and it WAS a frickin' Mojave.

4 years ago that snake was 10-grand. Crazy.

Thats probably the best thing to happen for us right now! Millions watched it, he showed its harmless, and its a morph! I bet that bit probably sold 100 mojaves. You would be surprised the power of TV! Who cares that its a $200 snake?! Its a snake, with positive promotion on a major TV show. What more can you ask for?!
Money, money, money, money, when thats not the issue right now. The issue is defending our rights to own what we LOVE not what we can make money off of. If that is your mentality, then that is why morphs are so cheap now. Cause of thoughts like that.

AMEN!

Jeff Favelle Nov 16, 2009 06:14 PM

I missed the part where I said it was bad for the industry????

snakesatsunset Nov 17, 2009 07:02 AM

Its not what you said, it is what you obviously implied.

jeff favelle Nov 17, 2009 11:25 AM

What, that walking around in non-temperature controlled environments with a snake as a wrist watch is bad? You're right, we should all be doing that.

My bad.

snakesatsunset Nov 17, 2009 01:47 PM

They dont make wrist warmers to carry snakes for 10 minutes.
It was a great clip and hopefully changed a few peoples perspective on snakes.
With all the lighting, and the people, below 70f is probably not happening. Do you watch documentaries on discovery channel?
Have you noticed that in the african ones at night, that you can see all the animals breath? You think its 9 on the hotsideof the burrow and 80 onthe cool side? Did you know ball pythons are nocturnal and hunt at night? Just another way to look at things..........
Nothing wrong with what he did or said.

That's actually an awesome thing as a little part of dispelling the thought that these things are nasty killers who are out to eat your kids.

I loved that interview!

Aahhhh...you stole my thunder.

Watever Nov 16, 2009 09:21 AM

We got snakes on a plane, now it's about [bleep]ing time we have snakes on TV

And getting them like it should be done ! Not trying to scare people like some youtube videos I have seen. We are going no way that way !

Thank you Jeff !

P.S. : Someone should try to get in touch with the guy and do a short ad for Usark or something like that. Sure it would help no ? If actors and stars show people that reptiles can be good etc... it can only help us ! Instead of the other way around.

Actors are like prostitutes for free things. If you offer these guys free animals they will do anything you ask....

Actually this may be a conflict in our interest as he is a supporter of PETA as well.

Most of the people that support these radical groups like PETA and The HSUS have no idea what they are really about. If he knew that PETA would like to take away all of those animals he told Jimmy he keeps I bet he wouldn’t be a supporter then.

That is my hope. It just disturbs me the level of folks who support PETA and really do not understand. But he is an avid and vocal supporter of them.
