Sav Bedding

Question. I know that my sav should have two feet of sand/top soil mixed 50/50. My question is how does the humidity stay constant "under ground"? Doesn't the heat of the enclosure dry out the dirt? How can I maintain the humidity level above ground, and maintain the proper humidity of the substrate? Also, should I rely on him digging a hide in the dirt, or still provide one on top also?

Thanks,
JC

Add water to the dirt. Tah dah!

He should have hides on top of the soil as well.
