I also would love to hear every ones opinion on this. along with pictures if you got em

few things i have heard for jungle "markers" are
the head pattern where its a needle pattern including the "eye" of the needle.
floating saddles or bubbles in them.
clean crisp patterns.
ninja star saddles.
abbarent pattern.

all i know is i like a nice jungle lol im no jungle expert and heck FAR from one but here are a few pics of the two i have.

Electra, monster tail jungle

double D aka Dare Devil, hypo jungle

I would like to add that the dorsal patterns also usually have a crisp black outline like they were traced with a sharpie.
Also my jungles are kinda 2 toned. With pastel like colors up top and then noticeably darker tones on the sides

i have not seen to many adults but seems like the two tone factor is easier to notice in younger animals.

nice lookin snakes,

Here is one of mine jungle boa female, this is bought from Lars Brandell's buddy, and he bought himself jungle boa from the first cluth that Lars Brandell breed, I believe it is difficult to find a more pure original line than this animal

nice lookin snake, when you say tail pattern what are you refering to? that its a striped tail? that it has like faded color? please explain just a tad more on that please

BNixon Nov 17, 2009 11:59 PM

Not the stripe or anything like that more like that outline mentioned before like a sharpie was drawn around the pattern.

Hi Mike,

What I have noticed with jungles is the saddles have a dark outline to them, red color in the eyes and the body has a two-tone look to it as if the top of the boa has a lighter / brighter color to it than the sides of the boa. There is also the ones that there is no dough about them because they have a aberrant patterned to them with the right body color. After you look at lots of real jungles you will see the markers for them. Here are a few pictures of the one I own.

I bought this hypo female as a possible jungle but I do believe she is one. Being that she is a hypo she will not have the dark outline in her saddles but you can see the two-tone look in her.

Here is Kingsnake's link with some more info and pictures of jungles.

Take care
