How About some nice Pyromelana...

Jlassiter Nov 18, 2009 10:11 PM

Enough with getula for a while...LOL

These are the first Pyromelana I have ever kept and they are convincing me to probably get into some Zonata next year.....I think Mountain kings rock.....

1.1 are some NICE Knoblocki I got from Shannon Brown's Candy Cane line.....
Then there's a HUGE 1998 Knob from Ric Blair that I need a nice female for....
Last are a pair of Pyros I got from Bob Bichler....They were hatched in 2008 and have reached 28 inches already....Pretty fast growing for Pyros I hear...LOL

Anyway...Enjoy...

Enjoy...

I have a question: where does your name come from? I can't place it's country or region and I've been wandering...almost sounds Polish or Czech?

sorry for the oddball question.

others that wish to continue the arguing. You all might want to consider starting your own threads for your endless arguing, banter or whatever you consider it.

Nice pyros John. How big is that male knob you got from Blair?

Thanks Joe,
I would say he is over 4.5 feet.....
He is the largest Knob I have ever seen, but I haven't seen but about 20 or so in person.....I really need to get a scale to measure weights too....

"natural selection goes out the door but not purity"

That's right,...they still remain the exact same subspecies, how on earth would THAT be changed?. It can't, and won't.

This seems to get misconstrued quite often. There is a huge difference there.

That has always been my view as well Todd.

John,
I think many of the captive strains of pyro do incredibly well in captivity. They eat well and grow quickly, and some get quite large. Great snakes.

Yep...I did not expect them to reach nearly 30" in just over a year.....At this rate they will be full grown by the end of next Summer....And I agree they are great snakes!
