Funny, but the Yellowbelly I saw a couple of months ago was almost that green. They are a cool race of Racer!

Yea, they are cool. I find some pretty green ones here too.

Beautiful Mexican milks Dan. Love the tangerine bands. It's been my experience that annulata are one of the calmer milks, even as babies. Much more so compared to my Pueblans. Steve

Yea they are, thats one of the reasons they are my favorite milk

Very nice Dan. As I recall, you got those as hatchlings last year? You've done a great job feeding them over the last year, they look great.

Love those mexicans-in fact, those and andeans are the only triangulum I work with anymore.

I do prefer the natural colors to the albino-though I know the albinos are all the rage and I'm in the minority! When I was a kid in the 60s with my first Conant field guide my dream was to one day keep annulata!

Nice annulata Brad!

Are those Freer's by any chance?

The juvenile is a freer-one of his parents was a tangerine. The adult is a male I found in '07 near Cotulla.

Dan,....

I always enjoy all of your field pics man!. I've also seen a fair number on the "Field Notes and Observations" forum as well.

I wish I could get out and do more of that where I live(east coast of central Florida), as there is some decent habitat there as well.

Anyway, great stuff man!

Doug,
Thanks alot for the compliment! Man, if I lived in Florida I wouldnt have enough time to keep a decent sized snake collection, there are WAY too many herps to find. But from what I hear the habitat is being destroied in FL fast, so get out while you can.

Boy!,..are you right about that!,...it's been going on for many years, but there are still some vast expanses of natural undeveloped land around, especially around the center portions of the state.

Nice Hog photo!,...complete with dirt in mouth from feigning death..LOL!

That is a GREAT shot of the toad popper! See? Dan The CAMERA MAN! Really superb field shots, very clear, it helps that you have nice clear sunny skies, lol, most of my stuff is in swamps or thornscrub!
