herp tracking software question

cfr Nov 20, 2009 10:53 AM

As my collection grows, I am increasingly considering using one of the two herp softwares that I have found, Degei and Metzcal. Can any of you guys share any positive or negative experiences with either one? Or, is there another choice out there that I have missed? I appreciate any input that you guys have for me.

Derek

I use degei and have no problems with it. It actually does alot more than I use it for. It also has the ability to be used with a scanner for quick info scan for large collections. I would recomend degei but I also have never used the other program.

I just switched from Degei to Vyper RTS herp tracking. It is much more user friendly and has alot more to offer in my opinion.

I have not used either, but I have been using the Vyper RTS for about 2 months now, and I really like. It has made tracking a lot easier for me. I don't know what those other programs cost, but Vyper is very reasonably priced, in my opinion.
