Whats your biggest hog?

chrisdrake Nov 20, 2009 06:10 PM

I just picked up a new female nasicus and almost fell over when I saw how big she was. I'm still fairly new to hoggies but I've seen quite a few. I got her home and weighed and measured her. She tipped the scale at 304g and she is 28 inches. Is this really big for a plains?

WOW! I didn't realize that they got that big. I guess I'm used to seeing babies in deli cups. lol. At what size are males ready to breed? I've read around 2 years of age but haven't seen a suggested weight. Thanks,

Chris Drake

Any male over a foot long should be breedable.
