Has a Visual Spider Clown been done?

kangaskritters Nov 20, 2009 08:04 PM

Interested as to how the patterns would blend on these two.

I have never seen or heard of one. Kind of funny since people have done albino, hypo and pied but not spider.

I have never seen one, but I'm hoping to take it one step further by producing bumble bees het clown then eventually to killer bee clowns.

I'm thinking that will be a pretty nice looking designer morph.

Hi Brian,
I think I'm going to go in a different direction. I have a female spider 100% het albino and am getting a male clown het albino. I guess the best outcome would be an albino spider 100% het clown. Then breed those back to each other and go for an albino clown spider.

Nice combination.

Good luck with the project.

i'm working on spider clowns right now. i produced 1.1 50% het clown spiders last year and the male has been breeding some possible het clown females this year already. with any luck i'll have one this season.

I know I have seen spider het clowns and clown spider breeding picts but I can't say that I have seen a spider clown. I do hope it's just a matter of time and not that it's a lethal combo or anything.

I'm working on breeding a pastel clown to a bumblebee right now. I have no idea what will happen with the spider and clown patterns combining, but I can't wait to find out!

I haven't heard of anyone doing this project. Might be pretty cool looking. The only thing is would you have a definitive look or would they be random? Since both mutations are pattern & color mutations, would some favor the clown and others the spider? Maybe it would be a whole new look, who knows. Best of luck to those working on this project and if you do succeed please post some pics

I wouldn't be surprised if it has been produced and it's being keep quite!! Maybe not!! I do know NERD produced Spider Het/Clowns back in '05!!
