Some Holdbacks, etc....

CMSMITH Nov 20, 2009 08:34 PM

got a new flash, and wanted to try it out. Some came out alright, but it like some came out too dark. I have no patience, so maybe Ill figure this photo thing in a decade or so.

Just a Langtry, but locale specifics F1's dont come this nice too often.

An F1 that Stu and I teamed up to produce. She may not look like much right now, but I think she'll have the donut thing going on. Im not sure if the flash even fired on this one.

An F1 9mile female. Only female out of this clutch. Not bad. Im sure shell produce some nice things though, her brothers are pretty awesome.

These above 2 males were the only non-blairs babies out of this clutch. The rest looked like their sister above. The variety you can get from 9milers is amazing.

An F-Zero female from 6-Miles S of Alpine.

An F-Zero male from the same spot

And the ass-kicker to alterna breeders. This is probably one of the most unique Langtrys ever produced. His dad was a one of a kind as well, with pink borders on his bands, an alterna of the month. This snake was pictured in a classified last year, and offered for chump change. Nobody even asked about it. Pretty sad when something so unique goes unnoticed, but all the average stuff sells.

wouldn't the "average stuff" look more believable when being offered as locale specific???.....while something that is "unique" boings a red flag ???......anywhooo...nice snakes....are there any south alpine ladies out there???.....oh yeh, does crazy angie from the old lajitias kite shop still live in that area???.....we have a short history....

something unusual does raise suspicion. Thats the reason that integrity and honesty are the most important attributes for an alterna breeder. As far as I know, there are a few female 6mile S Alpines out there, but I doubt any are for sale. There are some captive breds available, Ric Blair has got some that are near breeding size. BTW, I like the pinesnake better. JK

Cool animals Colin-and the pics aren't bad at all, despite your caveats.

Love those 6 milers-and if I'd seen that last one, he'd be here right now

All good looking snakes, but my favorite is the odd ball Langtry male and typically I don't glance twice at a Langtry locale Hold onto to that bad boy for yourself.

Send the langtry my way... You know what I say... "there is NO SUCH THING as an ugly alterna!"

Congrats on the great year. You really produced some neat animals.

Best Wishes,
