Showcase Cages

bhopp Nov 21, 2009 07:10 PM

Thinking about a Showcase Cage for my uros. Does anyone have one of these? They look great! The pictures that they provide on their website make the cage look smaller on the inside. The measurements they provide are the outer diameter, but just wondering what the inside diameters are for these cages. Any help would be appreciated. Check out the cages at: www.showcasecages.com.

Thanks for your help!

I do like how they have an area for a heat pad recessed for ease of installation, along with a screened cutout for a heat lamp. All great ideas.

The material is no more than 1/4 inch thick. The seams are rounded, which takes a tiny bit away from the inside dimensions. The glass track takes up an inch or more. So that should give you an idea of the inside dimensions.

Note that the material of the cage and the glass doors do not insulate very well. For colubrids, that doesn't matter. For something like a boa constrictor, you may want to wrap the sides and back (and bottom) of the cage in Reflectix if your room is very cold.

They are nice cages. I'm just to cheap to get one myself.
