1.1 Kankakee Bulls
1.0 veild chameleon
1.1 corns
0.1 az king
1.2. tiger sals
0.1.11 fox snakes
0.1.10 thamnophis radix
0.1 3-toe box turtle
0.0.1 gray tree frogs
1.1 Crotaphytus collaris
1.1 Crotaphytus binctores
how did that happen w/out human help? LOL!
i see it's head is starting to turn color. very nice.....and natural.

Not sure what you meant. I've found fox snakes well into October, so it's probably not the time of year. Are you talking about it's state of development? The color on the tail was very interesting.
I had him in my backpack for a while, but had second thoughts and took him back. If he turned out to be a picky eater, the release option would not be there since it's so late. I sit here today wishing I would have kept him though

...was the record for fairly late in the season. I don't see much of anything after mid-September. Of course, we don't have fox snakes in this part of Michigan. But my latest record for a massasauga is Sept. 8th. What else can you find in October?

Fox snakes, garters and hoggies seem to hang on longer than most around here. On sunny, cool days though you never know what you'll find. I have a couple more trips to go before I give up this year.
