The one sittin on that white rubbermaid lid........I'm very jealous of that one! Has it produced for you?

LarM Nov 22, 2009 09:09 PM

Not yet , I'm going to pair him up with this girl in a few days

"Stevie Girl"

We'll see what happens if they produce

I believe there could be some aberrant babies

I don't have a non het Colorful fem that's ready for him
So "Stevie Girl" gets the nod

I'll be looking forward to this litter. I bet he passes on that color for sure! Does that female have any special genetics?

LarM Nov 22, 2009 09:21 PM

We are not certain , I just got her about 5-6 weeks ago
from a friend in Michigan.

He thinks she could be a Bolivian mix.

I believe she is a Colombian that just has that different
look about her.

She doesn't have any major color to speak of but she is very light
and those saddles are very dark and contrasty
Plus those nice peaks

I'm hoping its a nice surprise

I'm not even certain he'll breed, I didn't pump him up prior
to this season over the summer.

I didn't believe I had a fem for him

By the way here are both Mom and dad of those
'08 pastel Dreams and Scarlet Hypo's

Here is the mom Sherri'

She's no longer in that enclosure ,thank goodness

The sludge hammer had a meeting with that Glass enclosure ,
LMAO

Here is pops he's an '03 Scarlet Hypo (Pastel Dream Hypo)
from our own Boaphile

Also all of these pictures were taken in '08 after the bad rat
feeding problem I had

This male along with others went into bad sheds
and lost alot of color.

He still hasn't regained his pre incident color to this day

he's all washed out kind of blotchy

This above pair are together again right now also

In fact I believe they are finished

Example of the Fire Boas? Is this a reference to the "Miami Fire Pastels" that a guy in Miami produced back in 2003 or 2004? I haven't seen or heard reference to them since that time. I know he did produce a number of them. I bought the best male that he produced. That Male "Miami Fire Pastel" made a litter for me with a really orange "Orange Tail Hypo" female I have. No surprise I guess, but I have all those babies still... The Hypos anyhow. Very reddish. A little bit different from the red on the Monster Tail Hypos and the Scarlet Hypos too. But really nice.

It was actually a really bad litter for the most part. The first 11 babies were born and all was going along great. Then she had to work for about 20 minutes to pass a huge slug and the rest of the litter was still born. Every one of them. 38 babies total from the girl and many of the dead ones were killer. Oh well. OF the 11, there were 4.1 Hypos. They are looking really good. I was thinking about breeding a male or two, but I'm not sure that I will or not. Too many other little projects that are probably a higher priority.

Then again, you may not have been referring to them at all. LOL
