Blacking out tubs

spyiii Nov 23, 2009 01:54 AM

What is the best material to use for blacking out the inside of a 28qt clear tub like a rubbermaid? I have a few wc snakes that are rubbing their noses like crazy, I heard blacking out the inside of the tub helps for security reasons. . .but I know tape is a no-no and I dont like dealing with paints.

you could always tape black construction paper to the outside if you're looking for something easy

What kind of rack is this?

Have you considered adhering something to the outside?

I would favor darkening the rack vs the tub, clear tubs are usually something of benefit. And darkening the outside faces of a rack would limit the exposure to the front.

Of course some materials would effect how the rack heats so placement and material may be a critical decision.

Last thought would be limo tint applied to the outside of the plastic tub.

did you consider using contact paper?

..........better than spray paint and it's removable.
