albino x albino clutch update......

joshhutto Nov 23, 2009 04:36 AM

There was a post several weeks ago asking if albino x albino clutches in balls had issues like they pop up in boas. I mentioned that I had a clutch of six eggs incubating from a pair of unrelated albinos incubating. Well they hatched and here are the results, six perfect albino babies. These were from 2 very nice high contrast animals and even though the babies hatched 6 days ago and are going into shed, they look great. In my opinion as long as unrelated animals are used, there should never be a problem with albino x albino breedings as this breeding shows and several other breeders routinely breed albino x albino. The group pic is the clutch and the solo pic is the female with my wife holding the day we purchased her.

Did you notice the back end of all of them kind of look similar and different from most albinos I've seen. Or not?

There are some very nice high white animals in this clutch. In my opinion this is the one thing you must breed for to obtain those high contrast animals into adulthood as there is too much area for the yellow to creep in and maintains that nice yellow/orange on white.

Thanks--
That was my original question...I will be hoping for a nice clutch like this next season. My male and female visual albinos were obtained from two separate breeders, which have never worked together. Thanks for the pics--Jim

very beautiful.. DO albinos have any unusual heath problems that normals don't have? Thanks
