Which monitor lizard would outlast....

august9 Nov 24, 2009 01:48 PM

JUST FOR FUN: Which monitor do you think would outlast all other monitors in a fight to the death? (excluding Komodos). I am not interested in having monitors kill each other, but I am curious as to which monitor is the strongest.

Just interested in your opinions, if you would like to share them.

Watch some of the really old(alright, they aren't that old!) Sci-fi movies and you would have to say salvator! But only if they have the fake fins and spikes strapped on! Best to you Silly- Mike S
PS- What lizards are you keeping currently?

This why children should not own monitors.

So children shouldn't be allowed to keep monitor but adults should. Because adults always keep them properly? whatever

Same line of thinking here....dang, I could think of more adults who have/had monitors who shouldn't than kids that do and shouldnt.

Cheers,
Mike.

On that subject I know of very few teenagers with decent paying jobs that can properly provide what is needed for a monitor, also be able to follow through with all of the monitors other needs. Yes there are adults that dont do a very good job with them, but by many adults ability to provide for themselves and being a stable supplier of a secure home, and environment they are far more likely to be able to keep a lizard that can live 10-40 years. The problem with kids or even teens keeping monitors isnt so much that mom and da have to foot the bill, its the unstable lifestyle, and possibility to be changing lifestyles, locations, schools, and careers quickly that makes most kids or teens have difficulty rehoming a monitor.
On this forum alone Ive seen many teens argue this, but most are looking to find what to do with the monitor when they go to college, or join the military, etc.
Something to think about.

The others die in 6 months to a year or so when in the hands of many keepers.
The monitor that is kept in secure escape proof caging...
The monitor thats kept in a proper environment, not in an aquarium with a screen top...
The monitor thats kept on appropriate substrate such as dirt, not on newspaper, carpet, or in a sterile cage...
The monitor fed whole animals as its main source of food, not human or dogfood/catfood...
On the subject at hand, Megalania Prisca...

Who would win in a fight? Grey Hulk or WW Hulk?
