Feeding advice?

jazmaniandevil Nov 24, 2009 06:32 PM

Hey, I've got to step up a size or two for my older snake, Lego. He's currently taking 3-5 hoppers(from Big Cheese Rodents), is 3 ft long, and is about as big around as a dollar coin. My problem is that I want to switch companies, and I don't know if I should go with 'weanlings' or 'adults'. Big cheese didn't have a weanlings catagory, so I don't know! Suggestions?
Thanks!

"RodentPro", and "Mice Direct" have all the sizes you'll need. I've used them both. Go to their web sites and they have all different sizes with the rodents next to either a quarter, or a dollar bill for the bigger mice/rats to depict their actual size. Also, the gram slot-weight is given for their specific category.

In other words, it's hard to screw-up getting the right size..LOL!

Weanling equal a small. If the snake is 3 feet long, you need to be feeding him adult size mice.

Actually, Big Cheese's small adults ARE what basically other companies would call weanlings, so actually, they do have them.

What I like about Big Cheese, is that they have small, medium, and large, sizes to accomodate. So many places don't have a medium sized mouse, per se, set aside, but just have weanlings and adult sizes listed, with no size in between.

Just order small adults and you shall have your wish, my friend.
